PK Crosses 80 Cr Nett In 2nd Week In 6 Days
2014 proved to be a bad year at box office for Hindi film industry and after disastrous November and half of December, Aamir Khan starrer ''PK'' was the only hope for survival for exhibitors. But film scored big week and now film is on the way to become highest grosser in history of Bollywood.
Film has collected 182.58 cr nett in week one which was outstanding number and this is 2nd highest week one number after ''Dhoom 3''. Film scored big numbers in Mumbai and that is why despite low Friday film managed to cross all other releases.
Film collected 14.48 cr nett on day eight which was super number. Film jumped again on 2nd Saturday and collected 17.16 cr nett which was growth of 25%. Film jumped by 30% on Sunday and collected big 21.85 cr nett which took 2nd weekend total to 53.79 cr nett, highest ever 2nd weekend total ever in Bollywood.
Film held strongly on 2nd Monday and film collected 10.08 cr nett. Film added 9.11 cr nett on Tuesday and now again film will see upsurge in collection for next two days due to new year activities. Film added 9.05 cr nett on 2nd Wednesday. Film should cross 275 cr nett by the end of 2nd week. Film is almost certain to cross 290-300 cr nett as there is no major competition from 2nd January.
Film has collected 264 cr nett plus in 13 days. Film is 2nd highest grosser in history of Bollywood in India behind ''Dhoom 3'' and it is among top 5 in overseas.
Film also collected 120 cr in 12 days in overseas and it seems that film will cross 130 cr there too by the end of 2nd week as film will get boost from new year holidays.
