Though Prakash Jha's "Satyagraha" is said to be inspired by the life of Anna Hazare, it has learnt that the narrative also follows the journey of Satyendra Dubey, the young whistle blower who was murdered after exposing the road mafia in Bihar.

Though Prakash Jha is tight lipped about the track, a source close to the development told media, "The cast has been restricted to talk about itduring promotions. Only those who know are aware and it's being kept very hushhush."

Satyendra Dubey was a project director at the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and was shot dead in 2003 after exposing corruption in the Golden Quadrilateral highway construction project. His murder drew protests in India and abroad.
