Monday, 9th June 2014, 04:00 PM IST At the mahurat of debutant director Karan Dara’s ‘Khamoshiyan...When Silences Speak’ the lucky director was flanked by three of his mentors including Vikram Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt and Mohit Suri whom Karan has assisted in the past.
At this mahurat, Mahesh Bhatt said, “I've always believed in the maxim that a true leader creates more leaders and not followers. My idea of cinema was intensely personal and autobiographical while Vikram uses story telling skills and the cinematic skills of the digital age to light up his cinema and Mohit is extraordinary with love stories and music. It takes a while to break away from the mentor but both my nephews have done that to find their own voice. I'm sure Karan will too.”
‘Khamoshiyan...When Silences Speak’ is an erotic love triangle about a writer who is lost in Kashmir where he finds a woman with a strange and silent past. TV actor Gurmeet Chaudhary makes his Bollywood debut with this film that also stars Ali Faizal and Sapna Pabbi. Bhatt promises that the movie with up the standard of horror flicks, he says, “With a recipe of great music, state-of-art digital effects and a love story that brings back the intrigue of Mahal, it will repackage and raise the bar for the horror genre in Bollywood.”
‘Khamoshiyan...When Silences Speak’ is produced by Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films and is slated to release on May 1st next year. |
