Monday, 11th August, 2014, 04:40 PM IST Vikas Bahl is a worried man. The ‘Queen’ director has been searching for the perfect person to play a Sindhi businessman in his Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Shaandar’.
Buzz is Karan Johar was his first choice. However, when Vikas took the role to KJo, he turned it down. Later, the role went to Sajid Khan who also refused it. Sajid gave a confirmation by saying, “Yes, I was offered the film;but no, I'm not doing ‘Shaandar’. I'm busy scripting my next film, a youthful rom-com.”
We have heard that Vikas is eager to cast Karan in the role.A source close to the development informed, “Vikas is very impressed with Karan's performance in Anurag Kashyap's ‘Bombay Velvet’ and felt he'd do justice to ‘Shaandar’. But after considering the offer for a while, Karan said he was not interested.” Vikas plans to go back to Karan and try coaxing him to join his big fat wedding party. Will Karan bite the bait, let’s wait and watch! |
