Tuesday, 18th Aug 2015, 4:11 PM IST Preity Zinta was last seen on screen in a cameo in Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Happy Ending’. The actress’ last full-fledged role was in her production venture ‘Ishkq In Paris’ which released in 2013. Preity was away from the limelight for a long period. However, she reveals it was her back injury that kept her away from the big screen. She had a very bad fall in the US which left her back injured. Preity said, "I couldn't bend. I couldn't move. I was on constant medication and pain killers. My life revolved around medical tests and physio-therapy. I was unable to move walk or do anything for more than two months. Everybody wanted to know why I was not doing any films. But I couldn't do anything! It was... I don't want to even think about it." "The only thing that I want to remember from that dark period is my mom. She looked after me as if I was a baby all over again. She was constantly there for me. I couldn't have been back on my feet were it not for her," the actress added. The actress has fully recovered now. "I am not going to say no to any work. I will soon be starting new films. I am also getting into a new business venture." Preity revealed that she was disappointed with the kind of film offers she was getting, until she saw ‘Filmistan’. "It made me sit up and think. Whoa! If a film made on such a shoestring budget could be so heartwarming, why am I not doing any movies? Cinema is such a heartwarming medium of expression," the actress said. "I had to return only when I wanted to. No one could force me to do so. Now I am listening to new scripts," she added.
