Tuesday, 7th June 2016, 10:30 PM IST Anurag Kashyap’s, Udta Punjab has garnered a lot of attention due to several wrong reasons. The movie is based on substance abuse and it looks like troubles with the Censor Board don’t seem to subside. After ordering 40 cuts, the review committee has now asked for more than double, 89 cuts for it to receive an A certificate. In the list of 89 cuts, the board has decided to wipe out cuss word scenes, drug use scenes and the word Punjab to be dropped from the title and anywhere else in the film. The producer has decided to move to High Court to get justice for his film. The film industry has also shown support for ‘Udta Punjab’. Reportedly, there has been pressure from political parties of Punjab and they don’t wish this film to become a weapon with which they can be targeted.
