Ayushmann to play gay in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

By Reema Chhabda - May 9, 2019 Ayushmann Khurrana, who has given us amazing movies like ‘Andhadhun’ and 'Vicky Donor' is all set for his next, ‘Bala’ co-starring Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar. After playing a sperm donor in ‘Vicky Donor’ and a person with erectile dysfunction in ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, Ayushmann is now set to play a gay character in the second installment of the latter film which is titled ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’. According to the reports, Ayushmann said that ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is a beautiful story told in the quintessential Aanand L. Rai style of filmmaking that will touch the audience’s hearts. Other details about the movie remain unknown, although we know that the film would be directed by Hitesh Kewalya and produced by Aanand L. Rai. Casting is under process and the film is scheduled to release early next year. According to reports the story deals with the subject of homosexuality and the plot would revolve around a conservative family coming to terms with the fact that their son is gay. The film is expected to go on floors by the last week of August. After the success of ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, it would be interesting to see how the audiences like the second installment of the franchise.
