ACTION JACKSON Had Strictly Average Monday
Last month proved to be a disappointment for films at box office. ''The Shaukeens'', ''Happy Ending'', ''Ungli'' and ''Kill Dil'' failed miserably at box office and now last month of the year started with huge film ''Action Jackson'' which is directed by Prabhu Dheva with 100% box office record.
Film released in approx 3400 screens and it was expected to take a huge start. But film was poor in big cities Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune especially in multiplexes but film is doing better in single screens in Lucknow, Indore, Patna and Jaipur. Overall film had poor day one with 11.10 cr nett day one.
Film was a wider release and that is why it was expected to get some kind of growth from evening onwards on day two but bad reviews affected the film. Film collected close to 9.15 cr nett on day two which was big drop. Film had now only Sunday to make an impact but film disappointed big time on Sunday too.
Film collected 12 cr nett on Sunday which was just 5% more than Friday. Film dropped on Monday on expected lines and though single screens did save the film from tanking, it managed only 5.10 cr nett on Monday which was drop of 53% from Friday.
Film collected 37.35 cr nett in four days and thus all hopes gone for toss. Film is now expected to drop on weekdays and 60 cr nett lifetime looks tough from here. Big disappointment! Film also collected poor numbers of 7.51 cr in overseas over weekend.
