HAPPY ENDING Drops Further On Monday
This month proved to be a disappointment for films at box office. ''The Shaukeens'' and ''Kill Dil'' failed miserably at box office and now next film ''Happy Ending'' released last weekend. Film had kind of positive vibe due to romedy genre but flop music pulled it down in terms of pre release buzz.
Film released in approx 1800 screens and film took average start with 35% occupancy. Film was better in multiplexes which was expected and single screens are non starter which was also expected. It was expected that film will grow for sure as this rom - com genre tend to jump from evening onwards but it did not happen.
Film collected clsoe to 3.95 cr nett on day one which will be even lower to opening day of last week release ''Kill Dil''. Film collected 23 lakhs nett in Rajasthan and even poorer numbers in metros. Film jumped on day two and collected 4.50 cr nett. Film again had very slim growth and collected 5.10 cr nett on Sunday. Film dropped further on Monday and collected only 1.95 cr nett.
Film has total of 15.50 cr nett plus in four days which is poor. From here now a respectable 25 cr nett lifetime looks like a task. This is one epic disaster, even widely criticized ''Humshakals'' starring Saif collected 12 cr nett on opening day itself and 37 cr nett over weekend.
