CHAAR SAHIBJAADE Is Highest Grosser Ever Punjabi Film, Crosses Record Huge 23 Cr All India
''Chaar Sahibjaade'' released last month and it got decent release in East Punjab. Film had religious importance and relevance so it was expected to do some kind of business despite nil promotion but film has surprised in big way. It has beaten all Bollywood films released in month of November.
Film collected 3.79 cr nett plus in week one which was rock solid considering competition from Bollywood and low opening on Friday. Film trended so well on weekdays that all weekdays were higher than Friday numbers.
Film started 2nd week even on higher note despite competition from another Punjabi release ''Baaz''. Film collected 2nd weekend total of 2.20 cr nett. Film collected 4.28 cr nett in 2nd week which was 15% higher than 1st week and that is exceptional.
Film added 2.05 cr nett in 3rd weekend and this was almost equal to 2nd weekend collection and still higher than 1st weekend number. Film collected 3.94 cr nett in 3rd week which is again super solid.
Film continued its glorious run and collected 2.50 cr in 4th week in East Punjab. Film further added 1.25 cr nett in 5th week. Film collected 30 lakhs nett over 6th weekend and now film has total of 16.40 cr nett in Delhi/East Punjab.
This is a fantastic performance. Film has crossed 4.50 cr nett in 35 days in rest of India in Punjabi version in addition to 2.50 cr nett through Hindi version and is now highest grossing Punjabi film ever. It has outside chance of crossing 25 cr which will be huge.
This is also new record for animation film in India and film also crossed 18.50 cr in overseas market which is outstanding. Film has worldwide gross of 50 cr plus. Blockbuster!
