By Nikhil Bisoi - May 14, 2019 The success of solo blockbuster ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike' catapulted Vicky Kaushal into star status. The actor, who has bagged a pivotal role in Karan Johar‘s directorial ‘Takht’, is yet again in the headlines. Karan Johar seems to be quick to capitalise on this. Reportedly, considering the rising popularity of the ‘Sanju’ actor, KJo is about to rewrite the role. Vicky, who will play evil Mughal king Aurangazeb in the movie, now has a meaty role, just like his adversary in the film, Ranveer Singh. Kareena Kapoor Khan has come on board to play Jahanara, Ranveer and Vicky Kaushal's sister in 'Takht', while Alia Bhatt is said to play Ranveer's wife in the film. In a tweet, Karan Johar has described the passionate project as "An incredible story embedded in history… An epic battle for the majestic Mughal throne… A story of a family, of ambition, of greed, of betrayal, of love & of succession… TAKHT is about WAR for LOVE…” We are excited to watch his yet another multi-starrer film ‘Takht’, the reason being KJo himself is directing the film.
