Wednesday, 1st July 2015, 3:13 PM IST We all know that Adnan Sami has sung the track ‘Bhar Do Jholi Meri’ in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. And it is said that it was Salman Khan who recommended Adnan for the track. The track is originally sung by Sabri brothers of Pakistan, but for the film which is also produced by Salman, the superstar opted to get his good friend Adnan onboard. An insider said Adnan had earlier never sung a qawwali number and music director Pritam wanted to rope in a qawwali singer from Pakistan. "Salman and Adnan have been friends for a long time now. He heard the scratch recorded by Imran Aziz Mian, son of the legendary qawwali singer Aziz Mian, but felt that Adnan's voice would do justice to the song," the insider added. In a media release, Pritam had said, "Salman felt if Adnan sings and acts in the video, it will be more impactful." Talking about it, director Kabir Khan said, "When Salman and I heard it, we thought Adnan's voice would suit the qawwali more. I don't know who had recorded the scratch, so I cannot comment on that."
