Wednesday, 1st July 2015, 3:15 PM IST On Tuesday, a New Delhi court restrained the makers of Sunny Deol starrer ‘Mohalla Assi’ from releasing the film stating that the movie contained filthy language. Judge Kishor Kumar restrained the release of the film. The petition was filed by Delhi resident Gulshan Kumar seeking stay on the release. Gulshan’s advocate Sachin Mishra told the court that a character in the film has been shown as Lord Shiva and is seen mouthing very abusive and filthy language, and charging a few hundred rupees for pictures with people at a ghat. The court says that showcasing Lord Shiva speaking abusive words may hurt religious sentiments. "Therefore, at this stage, a prima facie case is made out that until the religiously hurting scenes and dialogues/words wherein the abusive and filthy language has been used are removed, the movie should not be released," the court said.
