Shahid Kapoor Says HAIDER Is Not Something One Gets Offered Every Day

Thursday, 2nd July 2015, 4:47 PM IST Shahid Kapoor won numerous awards for his act in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Haider’. The actor says that the movie is not something one gets offered every day. When he was told that ‘Haider’ has put all doubts about his acting chops to rest, he said, “Yes, a ‘Haider’ is not something one gets offered every day, and I’m fortunate it came to me. It has opened people’s mind — they can now view me as different characters. That is crucial for every actor. People don’t view me in a box anymore and that doesn’t come soon for an actor, it takes a couple of years and the right scripts to prove your ability.” Talking about his upcoming flicks, Shahid said, “‘Udta Punjab’ is close to my heart as it deals with real issues. Yes, I have experimented with my looks but it was already written into the script. I don’t think you can force a look on a film, if it isn’t part of the script. This will probably be my most shocking character, in a long time. ‘Shaandaar’, on the other hand, is a fresh, happy, destination wedding film.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here –Android: http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
