Tuesday, 14th June 2016, 02:00 PM IST After the breather that the ‘Udta Punjab’ makers took post the Bombay High Court’s decision, the Punjab High Court has now demanded to watch the film. The Court wants to ensure that the film does not portray Punjab in negative light. Reportedly, Punjab High Court has decided to send advocate Sujay Kantawala as a sort of amicus curiae (friend of the court) to view the film. Apparently, Sujay will be seeing the film along with the CBFC today at 4 pm and will be submitting a report on the content of the film, on the next court hearing which is scheduled for June 16, just one day before the film’s release. Punjab Court’s petition centers on the exhibition of the content in the film. The main concern of the Court is to maintain law and order in the state. Punjab High Court has also asked the makers of ‘Udta Punjab’ to reply to the petitioner over the same.
