Wednesday, 8th Oct 2014, 5:46 PM IST Recently, there were reports that Shahrukh Khan and Kajol starrer evergreen blockbuster ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ will no longer play in the theatre Maratha Mandir once the film completes 1000 weeks December. But,Manoj Desai, the MD of the theatre, denied the reports. Said to be the best love story every made in the history of Indian Cinema, ‘DDLJ’ has been running since 19 years in Maratha Mandir, a theatre in South Mumbai. "We are not planning to remove ‘DDLJ’ show. It was a false report. In fact, this December ‘DDLJ’ will be in its 1,000 week." "We have ‘DDLJ’ show daily at 11.30 a.m. and on weekdays there is 40 to 50 percent occupancy and on the weekend it runs houseful. Myself and Aditya Chopra will continue to show the film in Maratha Mandir as long as we want to," he added. |
