Wednesday, 1st Oct 2014, 5:05 PM IST Omung Kumar, who recently tasted success with his directorial debut ‘Mary Kom’, is in plans to direct a film based on World War I and a musical. According to a source, the World War flick will be an intense male-centric flick. A source close to Omung said, "It is based on documented historic events but told from an Indian perspective. He is currently developing the script. A few studios have already shown interest." The source further revealed that the project demanded wide research and will have a lot of VFX. He also said that the director is in talks with a few actors. Omung confirmed the news and said, "Yes, it's true. So many Indians had engaged in World War I but their stories haven't been told onscreen. The cast should be in place soon." Talking about his other flick which will be a musical, Omung said, "It's an extravagant period piece set in London. It's something I've always wanted to direct. I'll go ahead with whichever project materializes." |
