Tuesday, 14th Oct 2014, 3:39 PM IST Actor Boman Irani, who has been in the industry since more than a decade, is now all set to don a director’s hat soon. The actor, who is currently busy in promoting his upcoming flick ‘Happy New Year’, is giving final touches to his story. Boman said, “Directing a film is the most inevitable step. I’ve been an ardent fan of cinema. I might be a decade old in the profession but I’d like to believe that I have an eye for detail and a decent script sense.” However, he is not sure if his directorial debut will have big stars in it. “If I’m making a hard-core commercial film, then it makes sense to have all the viable names in it. I’ll pitch the film to my friends from the industry after I have a concrete script,” he said. He also revealed that he shares a good bond with Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan. The actor said, “I’m very fond of SRK and Aamir Khan. I’d want to cast them in my film but if the budget of the film is a constraint I’m afraid I might not be able to afford them.” Talking about the pressure of an actor turning into a director, he said, “I’m aware of the pressure but it’s not something that one can’t handle. If I celebrate the applause that I get for my good work, one has to be ready to take the flak for the below average work.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here – Android:http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp |
