Detailed Analysis:
'Bang Bang' is next offering from Fox Star Studio and is made on lavish budget of 140 cr. Film is directed by Siddharth Anand who delivered box office dud 'Anjaana Anjaani' last time around. Film is an official remake of Hollywood flick 'Knight & Day'.
Film has typical potboiler plot. Rajveer Nanda (Hrithik Roshan) is one of the most dreaded thief in India and his love interest Harleen Sahni (Katrina Kaif). Harleen lives in Shimla and is a bank receptionist. International criminal (Danny) and his colleague (Jaaved Jaffery) are after Kohinoor diamond which was stolen by Rajveer from London. How Rajveer and Harleen make through all problems and Rajveer takes his revenge form rest of the story.
Performance-wise Hrithik Roshan stands tall and carries the film on his shoulder. He displays his complete package with right medley of dance, action and emotions. This is not his best performance considering his super acts in 'Jodhaa Akbar'and 'Guzaarish' but still he proves how big star he is! Katrina Kaif is sizzling in every frame and she makes her presence felt big time in middle of all action. Danny repeats himself and so does Pawan Malhotra. Jaaved Jaffery is good and other supporting cast is decent.
Background music of the film is splendid and couple of songs are in sync with the film but all are bit monotonous and too western and one massy number in such film would had made it huge. Script moves on fast pace but 2nd half has its own issues due to wayward writing. Dialogues are strictly good and choreography is excellent. Cinematography is too good as every shot looks larger than life. Editing is uneven as few shots are repetitive. Costume and art department did their job well.
But its director Siddharth Anand who again fails to deliver despite having such a huge budget and dream pair. Somewhat similar to his earlier films 'Bachnaa Ae Haseeno' and 'Anjaana Anjaani', he shows promise but never go full distance. He invests less in writing and more in style. Film could have been all time blockbuster if there was more effort towards creating an exceptional content.
Film will release day today and will get bumper opening all over. Today is national holiday and holidays on next 4 days will give film huge boost. Film has everything what a mass audience will expect.Though clash with 'Haider' might snatch few records but this is one juggernaut which looks unstoppable at box-office.
