Monday, 6th Oct 2014, 5:12 PM IST Music director Pritam had not gone on a holiday since the past few years. However, the workaholic music composer, after giving music for ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ and ‘Holiday’, took a break and went for a long holiday, which would end in mid-November. But, Anurag Basu proved to be a hurdle and has told him to come back and give music to his film ‘Jagga Jasoos’. Talking about the same, Pritam said, "The second schedule of ‘Jagga Jasoos’ begins on October 13 and will continue till December during which 90 per cent of the film will be wrapped up as Ranbir (Kapoor)doesn't have dates to spare thereafter. I've composed two romantic tracks but since the film is a musical with 20-odd songs—small ditties that carry forward a conversation—I need to give at least seven more songs by the year end." The music director recollects that for ‘Metro’ and ‘Barfi!’,they locked the music at the end, 15 days before the music launch. "Anurag had picturised all the songs for ‘Barfi!’without any of the songs and later admitted that it had been a good idea. But this time, woh lip-sync mein phas gaya hai. He needs half the songs by this year. The rest we can hold till May when he will wrap up the film," Pritam said. |
