Tuesday, 3rd Mar 2015, 4:43 PM IST Music Director: Bobby - Imran Lyricist: Shabbir Ahmed ‘Badmashiyaan’ starring Sidhant Gupta, Suzanna Mukherjee, Sharib Hashmi, Karan Mehra and Gunjan Malhotra is all set to hit the screens on 6th March. The movie is directed by Amit Khanna and produced by Vijay Gutte. The music album of the film is out now. The album starts with the track ‘Shaitaaniyan’. It’s a sweet romantic number with soulful music. The romance in the song will make you romantic too. Ankit Tiwari’s voice is the highpoint of the track. The encore version of this track is sung by Anupam Amod and it does not impress at all. Ratings: 3/5 Moving forward we get one more romantic track, ‘Thode Se Hum’. It’s a nice track, but fails to reach the level created by the previous one. Though being a romantic song, the tempo in the hook phrase is a bit high and that is one of the impressive points of the song. Mohit Chauhan’s voice is amazing in the song. There is also an encore version of the song which is fantastically sung by Shilpa Rao and it’s better than the original one. Ratings: 2.5/5 Next comes in Mika Singh with his powerful voice in the song ‘Garden Garden Gave’. It’s a funky song with a Haryanvi touch in the lyrics. It’s an entertaining song and even the picturization of this song is funny. Mika takes the song to another level with his voice. Ratings: 3/5 ‘Kudiyan Baimaan’ is surely one of the best songs in the album. It’s a funny modernized qawwali number. The lyrics of the song very well explains the theme of the film. Manish J Tipu has sung the song very well. This song can certainly make you shake a leg on it. Ratings: 4/5 The last one in the album is ‘Badmashiyan Mashup’. The mashup is done by DJ Kiran and it’s irritating. Why do makers opt to spoil all the tracks by doing such an irksome mashup. Ratings: 1/5 On the whole, music of ‘Badmashiyaan’ entertains but lacks one chartbuster.
