Thursday, 19th Mar 2015, 3:54 PM IST Few months ago, Deepika Padukone had revealed that she suffered from depression last year. And now, the actress has decided to start a foundation to promote mental health care. She will start the foundation on 21st March. A source said, "The foundation will be called Live Laugh Love, she's already registered the name. It is too early to discuss the scale on which the foundation will be built and reveal other details associated with it. All that Deepika is sure about right now is that she wants to start it on March 21. That day has a special significance for her as it was on this day that she decided to seek professional help last year." After the shooting of her film ‘Happy New Year’ got wrapped up she went for a holiday and when she came back she came to know that a friend who was suffering from the same illness had committed suicide. At that time she decided to take up the problem to common people. The issue of depression is said to be a taboo. "Of late, Deepika has had meetings with several mental health specialists and is committed to the cause of mental health in the country. Even though she is busy shooting for her films, she is making time to understand the situation at the ground level. She really wants to make a difference in people's lives. She wants to encourage them to seek professional help from specialists when going through a personal crisis. That's the only way to overcome the problem," the source said. Deepika’s spokesperson confirmed the news.
