Music Review: DIRTY POLITICS Music Album Is For Masses Only

Wednesday, 4th Mar 2015, 1:17 PM IST Music Directors: Sanjeev Darshan, Aadesh Shrivastava Lyricist: Sameer Mallika Sherawat is all set to be back on screen after a gap of three years with the film ‘Dirty Politics’. The movie is directed by K.C. Bokadia and is slated to release on coming Friday (6th March). The music album of the film is out and has only two songs. The first song in the album is ‘Ghaghara’. It’s a perfect masala item song on the lines of ‘Munni Badnaam’ and ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’. Well, when we say that it’s a masala item number, than who else than Mamta Sharma will be the perfect choice to sing the song. Mamta’s voice is amazing in the track. This song is perfect combination of desi beats, peppy lyrics and a powerful voice. Ratings: 3/5 Moving forward we hear the seductive voice of Neha Bhasin in the song ‘Chal Dum’. The composer has tried to make this a romantic track, but unfortunately it turns out to be a cheap song with more of moaning. The music is boring and the double meaning lyrics also fail to impress us. It’s only Neha Bhasin’s voice which is good in the track. May this song is perfect for the situation it is used for (love making scenes between Om Puri and Mallika Sherawat), but when it comes to audio, it disappoints. Ratings: 1.5/5 On the whole, ‘Dirty Politics’ music album is for masses only.
