Detailed Analysis:
There are few weeks in the life of movie critics when he knows inevitable as there are heaps of potential bad films in offering. This is one such week and 'Badmashiyaan' is one such film.
Well, there is no story to talk about. Café owner Dev’s (Sidhant Gupta) girlfriend Na-ri (Suzanna Mukherjee) left him the night he meant to propose to her. Months later, he meets Palak Mehra (Gunjan Mehrotra), a young woman living next door, during a bank hold-up. Dev’s friend Pinkesh (Karan Mehra), a private investigator, has been trying to track down Na-ri for him. He finds that she is living with Don Jassi (Sharib Hashmi), a reformed gangster. One more con girl film after 'Daawat E Ishq' and 'Dolly Ki Doli' and this is easily the worst. Performance wise Sharib Hashmi who got all applause with acclaimed film 'Filmistaan' fails miserably this time. He hams and looks confuse throughout. Suzanna Mukherjee is as plastic as one can get, Siddhant Gupta is irritating, Gunjan Mehrotra does not ahev any idea of what is she doing and Karan Mehra sleepwalks. Film has 3rd rate background score and every song raises irritation level. Editing is good while cinematography is below average. Story is cliche too and screenplay is completely confused. Dialogues deserve special mention for epic boring impact. Art department and costume department do not add much.
Director Amit Khanna does very bad job with such a bad script. Film looks a perfect example of unimaginative film making and remains a bog bore throughout. Film will release tomorrow and should release across 300 screens. Film has no chances at box office. Film will be lucky if it can reach 5 crore figure of lifetime collection.
Go for this one for any reason you can find!
