Akshay Kumar starrer 'Laxmmi Bomb', which is the Hindi remake of the popular South film 'Kanchana', has run into controversy. A day after the makers released the first look of the film, its director, Raghava Lawrence, claimed he was disrespected by the makers and therefore he is opting out of the project. Expressing his grievance in a post on his Twitter handle he said that the first look of the film was released without his knowledge, and therefore, he was opting out of the movie. He wrote, “I feel very disrespected and disappointed. As a creator, I’m also not satisfied with the poster designer as well. This shouldn’t happen to any director.” He will soon hand over the script to Akshay Kumar. There were reports that the makers would try and convince the director to come on board. However, the latest reports suggest that this won’t happen and they are looking for a new director to come on board for the film. The makers have already shot a few bits of the movie and the schedule has been planned extensively in September. According to the reports, the producers have decided to take a new course of action as Raghava’s sudden exit has caused financial strain on the movie. Akshay is returning to the horror space after about 12 years. His last horror film was Bhool Bhulaiyya and it was memorable for his fans due to his crackling performance. Laxmmi Bomb is slated to release on June 5, 2020 and it is produced by Fox Star Studios.
