Tuesday, 9th Dec 2014, 6:00 PM IST After director Kunal Deshmukh opted out of the biopic on cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, there were reports that even Emraan Hashmi, who was to play Azharuddin on screen, has walked out of the project. It was said that Emraan was not keen on doing the film as his friend Kunal won’t be helming it. However, Balaji Motion Pictures, the producer of the film has denied the reports. The producers said that the film will be directed by Anthony D'Souza and it is very much on track. And Emraan will be playing the lead role. Chief Creative Officer of Balaji Motion Pictures, Tanveer Bookwala said, "Azhar is batting on the front foot, literally, and is our big tent pole summer movie. Anthony D'Souza, director of ‘Boss’, helms it. In fact, Emraan Hashmi is training for batting accuracy and authentic cricket playing supervised by Azharuddin himself."
