Tuesday, 12th May 2015, 4:02 PM IST ‘Welcome Back’ starring John Abraham and Shruti Haasan is yet to hit the screens, but it has been pulled into a legal issue. A matrimonial firm has filed a case against the makers of the film for not branding their firm in the film. Sycoriaan Matrimonial Services had paid Firoz Nadiadwala Rs. 15 lakh in exchange of branding the firm in ‘Welcome Back’. A source said, "A contract was drawn up between the company and the makers of ‘Welcome Back’ in September 2013, and the latter had promised to recreate their office set up in Dubai or Mumbai where Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar discuss the marriage of their sister, Shruti Hassan with a Sycoriaan staff. The contract also said the makers will return the amount if they fail to keep their word." A member of the production unit says that no such scene has been shot. "The two actors have been shown talking about the wedding at home, not in any office," the unit member said. Raspreet Singh Saluja, senior operations manager of Sycoriaan, said, "We contacted them last November when we got to know that the film has been completed and the promise not kept. We tried calling the producer's manager but in vain. So, we have filed a case." While Firoz was unavailable for comment, a source close to the producer said, "They have used Sycoriaan's hoarding, but couldn't shoot some scenes as per screenplay. So they will refund their money."
