IB Ministry Sends Special Team To CBFC Headquarters After UDTA PUNJAB Leaked

After the clearance for release, the film was leaked online and had a watermark on the print stating ‘For Censor’ which brewed a controversy again after which the makers also filed a police complaint. The Information & Broadcasting Ministry seems to have taken it seriously as they sent a special team to CBFC Headquarters in Mumbai. A source said, "A team headed by Joint Secretary Sanjay Murthy, visited the office of Central Board of Film Certification, headed by Pahlaj Nihalani, on Friday.” He further revealed, “Joint secretary Murthy and his team arrived at the CBFC office on Friday afternoon. They left only around 7 pm.” During their visit, they questioned everyone in the office including the clerks.
