Saturday, 16th Aug 2014, 2:41 PM IST Abhishek Kapoor’s film ‘Fitoor’ was supposed to go on floors in August, but will now start shooting only in October. A source informed about the reason for this delay, saying, “Abhishek was supposed to start shooting with the secondary cast of the film in August but now he plans to start work only in October since he hasn’t done recces for the film yet. He is still busy with the film’s pre-production.”
The source further informed that this postponement won’t affect the film in a big way since the dates allotted by Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif — the main star cast of the film — are from October onwards.“Aditya Roy Kapur is currently promoting his film, ‘Daawat-E-Ishq’, while Katrina Kaif is busy shooting for ‘Bang Bang’. So they are free to shoot only from October. In fact, Katrina is expected to join the unit in November, so this delay will not upset their schedules,” says the source.
This delay won’t be a problem for Rekha too. Says a source,“Rekha has already allotted a few days in October and November to the film. This apart, she’s agreed to be part of a major schedule in March next year. As far as casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s workshop for the entire cast is concerned, it will take place only by September end.”
‘Fitoor’ is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel, ‘Great Expectations’. In the film, Rekha will be seen playing a grey character named Begum while Katrina will play her niece. |
