Tuesday, 19th August, 2014, 06:50 PM IST Shahid Kapoor has a ton of things on his plate right now.Apart from gearing up for the release of Vishal Bhardwaj's ‘Haider’, he has also given his nod to Vikas Bahl's ‘Shandaar’, Raj and Krishna DK's ‘Farji’, and Abhishek Chaubey's yet to be titled next.
If all these weren’t enough, sources say that the actor will be in the remake of SS Rajamouli's 2009 Telugu hit ‘Magadheera’, taking on the role of Ram Charan. The historical romance,co-starring Kajal Aggarwal, revolved around a bike stuntman who recalls his previous life in which he was a warrior in love with a princess.
If sources are to be believed, Sajid Nadiadwala has already bought the rights to the film and Shahid has liked the concept. Even though Sajid was unavailable for a comment on the subject, Shahid said he doesn’t like to discuss projects till he actually starts shooting them and admitted to have seen the movie. He stated, “Yes, I have seen ‘Magadheera’ and really loved it."
The source added, “Sajid who is celebrating the super success of his directorial debut, ‘Kick’, plans to mount the film on a lavish scale." Some of you might remember Ranveer Singh’s name being speculated for the remake of ‘Magadheera’ several months ago. But those were nothing but speculations after all. |
