Saturday, 16th Aug 2014, 3:50 PM IST In R Balki’s upcoming movie ‘Shamitabh’, lead actor Dhanush plays a deaf-mute person who works as a junior artist in the entertainment industry. Though the film also has Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, if sources are to be believed, the legendary actor also doubles up as Dhanush’s voice in the film, by giving voiceover for the ‘Raanjhanaa’ actor.
Says a source, “Dhanush plays a deaf and mute junior artist in the film and Amitabh Bachchan will do the voiceover for Dhanush’s character. Among the scenes that were recently shot was one where Dhanush, after a long struggle, gets his due. In this sequence, he has won an award and is shown walking the red carpet as well.”
‘Shamitabh’ will mark the Bollywood debut of Akshara Haasan, legendary actor Kamal Haasan’s daughter. The film is Dhanush’s second Hindi project, after the critically acclaimed and commercially successful ‘Raanjhanaa’. |
