Friday, 17th Oct 2014, 4:02 PM IST Of late, there has been a lot of speculations about the trailers being attached with Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Happy New Year’. Recently, Shahrukh Khan cleared the air about the films being attached to his film, and also spoke about the trend of attaching trailers with biggies. When SRK was asked about the whole trend of attaching trailers with other films, he said, “Everyone else works the same way I work. I think you are just so selflessly selfish about your own work, you have no time to look at what the other is doing. When ‘Singham’ was coming, the marketing team felt that it was an important film and we should release the trailer with that film. So we bought the time, that’s how you do it. I got a call from Ajay and Rohit saying why are you buying it, just put it with us, it’s free. I think it was an amazing gesture.” Talking about the importance of attaching a trailer with a biggie, he said, “If I want to release a trailer, I’d try and release it with a big film to get more eye balls. I do that, so it’s illogical to assume somebody else wouldn’t. But if I was to think that an X actor is thinking his trailer is going to destroy the film it comes with, that’s stupid. If you want to attach your trailer, you can buy the time. That’s business sense.” He also revealed that there are two trailers that will be releasing with ‘HNY’. SRK said, “Adi has attached Byomkesh. Normally we don’t put trailers in our film, nor do we ask anyone to do so, because the film length increases. Adi is an old friend, he is also distributing HNY. So we don’t have any issues. Action Jackson is also releasing with us and Ajay has been very nice.” Now you can enjoy ad-free experience by downloading India’s first Box Office mobile app from here – Android:http://bit.ly/BOCapsuleMobileApp and iOS: bit.ly/BOCapsuleiOSApp
