Saturday, 21st Feb 2015, 6:27 PM IST Music Director: Nitz 'N' Sony Lyricist: Pranav Vatsa ‘Hey Bro’ is a comedy flick starring Ganesh Acharya and Mahinder Singh. The movie is slated to release on 27th Feb. The music of the film is out, so let’s see what’s there in store. The album starts with the song ‘DJ’. A disco track which starts off very well, but thanks to the hook phrase the song starts irritating us. Even Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice fails to save the track. This song could have been a better track if the lyricist would have written a better hook phrase than “Sholapur se, ho! Sholapur se, ho! Sholapur se mangaya DJ.” Ratings: 2/5 Moving forward we get ‘Birju’. It’s a song which features superstars like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Prabhu Dheva. It’s a totally senseless song and tests our patience. Voices of Mika Singh, Udit Narayan and Rapper Arya & Naezy are strictly okay in the track. Ratings: 1/5 ‘Bulbul’ is the next song in the album. This is the only track that entertains us. It’s a nice song and Shreya Ghoshal and Himesh Reshammiya’s vocals are fantastic in the track. It’s a perfect dance number. Ratings: 3/5 Next comes in ‘Line Laga’, a funky track but once again a boring number. The song is dull, however Mika Singh’s voice tries to save the song. Ratings: 1.5/5 The last song in the album is ‘Hu Tu Tu’. It is sung by Sonu Nigam and his voice is the only thing that impresses us in the track. It’s a 7-minute long song and this too tries to test our patience. And yes this is also a senseless song and irritates us. Ratings: 1.5/5 On the whole, music of ‘Hey Bro’ is boring, irritating and tests our patience.
