THE SHAUKEENS Continues To Drop On Weekdays
Akshay Kumar starrer ''''The Shaukeens'''' released yesterday and it got wide release in 1900-2000 screens. Film is a remake of sleeper hit from 1982 ''''Shaukeen''''. Film had rather decent buzz before release but that did not translate in numbers on Friday.
''''The Shaukeens'''' has opened to expected occupancy of 25% which was not bad considering usual trend these days on Friday morning. But film failed to grow from evening onwards despite quite positive reviews. Main reason was the misfit of the film with young audience.

Film collected 7.05 cr nett on Sunday which was again growth of 12%. But film dropped on Monday and with drop of 40% it collected 2.83 cr nett. Film dropped further on Tuesday and collected 2.68 cr nett.
Film has total of 24.03 cr nett in five days. Now film is heading for 28.25 cr nett week and 30 - 31 cr nett lifetime finish. Film was hurt by poor opening day and then film never grew as per expected lines. Even in overseas film collected poor 1.20 cr.
