This is something we only witness in Bollywood. What we mean is that, sometimes, an actor wants to be part of a particular director’s film but the latter decides to cast someone else. And, later, when the actor reaches the peak of her career, the same director, with an eye on commercial viability, decides to approach her.

That’s what happened with Madhur Bhandarkar and Deepika Padukone. It is said that Padukone was very keen on being a part of Fashion but Bhandarkar then opted for Priyanka Chopra. Obviously, it didn’t go down well with Padukone.

Now, years later, when Padukone has all but laid siege to ticket windows across the country, sources close to Bhandarkar tell us that he wants Padukone to play the title role in his next film, Madamji.
