Pluses:
Direction holds the film, couple of good songs, exotically shot
Minuses:
No actor registers on radar - be it acting or glamour quotient,no effort in writing anything substantial, poor editing, too many songs
Critic Rating: 2/5
Business Rating: 2.5/5
Verdict:
Watch it for some good locations and some foot tapping numbers
Detailed Analysis:
T series is the biggest music company today and when the better half of the T Series honcho Bhushan Kumar makes debut as director, film will be special and big. Though casting per se, its full of fresh faces and youngsters but on the front of music it is full of big names.
To start with, film has almost negligible plot, few young boys and girls, a school and hostel life, lot of sexy jokes and typical romance with lots of breeziness poured all over. Script is non existent and there is no effort to lift the film even on screenplay - dialogue level. Actors are busy showing of their cool quotient and even when they try somewhat to act, it falls flat. Himanhs Kohli has lot of attitude but no talent, Serah Singh is cute but that is it about her, Rakul Preet Singh is the best of the lot but overacts throughout, Nicole Faria justifies why was she modelling before and Evelyn Sharma again looks good in minimal clothes but gets on the nerves with acting efforts. Deepti Naval and Gulshan Grover do not even try to act. Film will release around 1200 screens today and has taken a good start especially in north. But will film sustain in coming days, that is a million dollar question. Though debacle of other new release might help the cause but overall picture will not be affected much.
