Tuesday, 23rd Sept 2014 4:03 PM IST Salman Khan is known for his body and his shirtless scenes in films. People admire his body and aim to have a body like him. But, now avideo has gone viral claiming Salman’s six pack abs in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ to be fake, and being done with computer graphics. It is learnt that the video was leaked from Tata Elixes, an animation and video graphic company, that had made Salman Khan’s tummy into six pack abs in the film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. According to the grapevine, an annoyed employee, who was thrown out of the company, uploaded this video. An insider from the organization said, "Salman was shocked that the film's director, Kabir Khan, had edited out his shirt less shot. The actor called up the producer and said that if it wasn't incorporated, his fans would be disappointed and Brand Salman would take a beating. And that was the reason why the computer graphics came into play." The VFX director of Prime Focus, Merzin Tavaria, states that today several Bollywood films revolve around superheroes and hard-hitting stunts. He adds, "While earlier this technology was only used in Hollywood films, today there is immense scope for it in Hindi cinema as well." One of the employees of Prime Focus said, "Several actors sign films without listening to the script. They only want to jump around or fly. Consequently, the emphasis is on special effects and not the story. And when the hero is larger-than-life it's essential that he looks good in reel life." The owner of Maya Digital Studio, Ketan Mehta said,"Today, we can do anything, we can remove wrinkles, eye bags, blackheads. We can make a fat man look slim and vice-versa. Do you know that the costume which you saw SRK wearing in ‘Ra.One’ was not the one which he shot in? The one he shot in was not as attractive." An employee at a senior post from SRK's Red Chillies Studio said, "We specialize in VFX, we don't deal much in computer graphics." |
