Wednesday, 22nd Oct 2014, 3:43 PM IST Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Baby’ was all set to hit the screens all alone during the Republic Day weekend in 2015, but now Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Khamoshiyan’ starring Ali Fazal, Gurmeet Choudhary and Sapna Pabbi will be also releasing on the same day itself. Talking about the release date of ‘Khamoshiyan’, Mahesh Bhatt said, "It's a good weekend for ‘Khamoshiyan’ which is one the finest musicals from our banner. Songs are a great draw at the box-office and I'm sure we will be able to pull crowds." When Mahesh was asked if Akshay should feel threatened as the musical is releasing with it, Mahesh said, "I don't think there is need for anyone to feel threatened. I've seen Neeraj's ‘A Wednesday’. He's agood filmmaker and Akshay is a star with a huge fan following. And we have a combination of erotica, supernatural and great music, both of us will survive." Two films which were about to release with Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Happy New Year’ changed their release date as they were not keen on releasing the film with the superstar-starrer. When a comparative situation was posed before Bhatt, he said, "No, such a situation won't arise. Like I said, I believe that both the films will get adequate screens and viewers."
