Lifetime Business & Economics Of DRISHYAM
Ajay Devgn has not given memorable film for long as he shifted gears into mindless comic capers from sensible cinema he used to do in late 90''s. He made comeback to similar sort of role and genre with ''Drishyam'' which was remake of super hit south Indian film.
Film collected poor 24 cr nett plus over weekend and then it went on to collect 36 cr nett in week one which was average. Film added is heading for 63 cr nett lifetime total. Film should have distributor share of 28 cr in India. Film was poor in overseas too with 15 cr plus collection lifetime and share of 7.50 cr.
Film has 35.50 cr worldwide share and it has earned 36 cr more from other rights including satellite rights, music rights and home video. Film has total income around of 71.50 cr and that against the total cost of 67 cr which means profit of 7% (4.50 cr). This might save skin of producers but perception wise and as per theaterical business, film is strictly average one for director, actors and producers.
