Top 5 Opening Weekends In Overseas At Box Office In 2014, 2 STATES 2nd2013 proved to be a game changer at box office in Bollywood. Big films with big cast and franchise power conquered the box office. Records were broken not once not twice but 3-4 times a year. 2014 started with high expectations and after disappointment of ''Jai Ho'' now ''2 States'' has done good numbers in overseas market.
''Jai Ho'' failed to live upto the expectations and it was ''Gunday'' which proved to be the big earner in 1st quarter. But it is ''2 States'' which took most surprising and super start at box office. Film recorded 2nd best opening weekend in 2014 despite no big star in overseas market.
Film came as respite for exhibitors and trade. Film is a big hit and Dharma Production is back with a bang after dismal performance of ''Gori Tere Pyar Mein''. Film is expected to rake in excess of 25-28 cr lifetime figure in overseas. Film can beat lifetime overseas figure of ''Jai Ho'' and can have higher worldwide share.
