Lifetime Business & Economics Of LOOTERA
"Lootera" released with much expectations and after exceptional reviews started pouring in, many thought it as next "Barfi!" but that was not the case as film faltered big time at box office.
At the end of the day, film failed to bring audience in after all paid PR and weekend moolah settled. Film collected 26 cr nett in week one and only 2 cr nett plus in 2nd weekend which speaks volume about the level of rejection.
Film collected7 cr overseas and thus film''s worldwide share is almost 18.50 cr and satellite rights, music right and home video added further 12 cr to its kitty. Film would had made some money with better biz after week one but film simply fell all over.
Film thus lost 7% investment though there are reports that Bala Ji sold satellite rights of four films ETD, SAW, OUATIMD and "Lootera" for 100 cr but that is clearly linked to box office performance. What we got out of sources is that "Lootera" would be paid for maximum 8 cr after such a dismal performance on ticket windows.
