Saturday, 4th Oct 2014, 4:58 PM IST Tabu, who is currently riding high with the critical acclaim she has received for the film ‘Haider’, says that she is not in a hurry to sign another film. Tabu said, “I’d rather chill at home than give in to mediocrity.” It is said that filmmakers are hesitant to approach her fora movie because of her status of being really choosy. Talking about the same, Tabu added, “But yes, for me to give away a large chunk of dates (to a project), I need to have a valid reason. I have to feel motivated. Filmmakers are aware of the kind of cinema I’ve always wanted to be associated with. I think Vishal Bhardwaj knew that I’d never turn down ‘Haider’. He was confident and his confidence reflects in my work. A well-written role like that does justice to an actor’s expertise on screen.” “For a long time now I’ve been working in different industries, and newer directors. Probably that’s why I now want to work with filmmakers I share a certain equation with,” she added. |
