Friday, 17th April 2015, 3:48 PM IST Director Anurag Basu, who started his career with small screen, has once again gone to his roots. He has directed a brand new adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's ‘Chokher Bali’ as a tele-film. However, the tele-film has turned out so well that now they are planning to convert it into a feature film. Radhika Apte, the tele-film’s lead actress, said, "It's been made for the Epic channel. When Anurag Basu offered me the role I just wanted to do it. I didn't care which medium it was for. Anurag is a director for whom I'd do two shots in a short-film. And what a mind blowing script. But now that the film is complete we all feel it should show in the movie theatres. It is exquisite." Well, it might be that ‘Chokher Bali’ turns out to be Anurag Basu's next theatrical release before his long-delayed flick ‘Jagga Jasoos’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
