Detailed Analysis:
Virr Das is well known stand up comedian and he proved his mettle with few meaty roles in 'Go Goa Gone' and 'Delhi Belly'. He is back with one more urban cool comic venture with interesting title. Film is a simple tale of one rich suave investment banker Amit Sahni (Virr Das) who is doing great in his life. He has IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad and Morgan Stanley in his resume. His father is always busy reading newspaper and mother is busy talking in rather cool yet funny manner. He has best friend in Push (Pushpak is full name played by Kavi Shastri) who thinks that he is the best cook aorund and he is always gives some blunder advice to Amit. Amit was heartbroken in his first love with Natasha and so he decided to make one long list of virtues which he needs to find in his perfect partner. He meets loads of girls but few don't like Sachin Tendulkar (he is big Sachin fan) and few are too kinky to his comfort. Finally his mom fixes up a meeting with a girl named Mala (Vega Tamotia) whom Amit starts liking after initial hitch. Mala used to teach pole dancing to Amit's mom 9yes you read it right!) and she is now a 'tea - taster'. She loves bungee jumping and has one dog. Amit hates her professions in addition to dog. But he can't help but falls in love with her. Both get engaged but just before marriage Virr meets another girl Devika (Anindita Nayar) who seems ideal as per his 'list'. He breaks his engagement and starts dating Devika. How Amit realizes true love forms the rest of the story. Performance wise Virr Das raises his act few notches higher and looks easy in shoes of Amit. He is funny (which he is always anyways) but he excels in comic roles too. Ravi Shastri deserves better roles as he delivers another pitch perfect act. Vega Tamotia is the only female in film who can act. She has natural and has poise in acting. Anindita as Devika is simply horrible. Music is big minus as no song except 'What The Fark' registers. Almost 4-5 boring songs leave one exhausted and cliche background score adds to the misery. Camerawork is amazing and almost every shot looks rich. Art work is decent and so is editing. Writing is real hero as film is crisp and makes you laugh in every two minutes if you attuned to this sort of cool urban cinema. Natural screenplay lifts this interesting story idea. But it director Ajay Bhuyan who tries his best to borrow from Hollywood comic flicks but he loses pace too often and emotional chords are completely missing especially towards climax. Characters look believable but those magic moments are missing. Film will release tomorrow and should get decent release. Film will get tough competition from T Series production 'Hate Story 2' and U TV Film 'Pizza 3D'. Film will depend on word of mouth to fight box office battle.
