Tuesday, 29th July 2014, 04:00 PM IST Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ has created a big buzz in the box office and the figures for the film has put pressure on Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn’s upcoming films ‘Entertainment’ and ‘Singham Returns’ respectively.
Akshay and Ajay have apparently chosen to lay low with the promotions for their films for around a week until the hype around ‘Kick’ subsides. “Yes, the city tours and other publicity for the films have been held back for a week,” a trade source said.
Both the actors are targeting collections similar to Salman’s ‘Kick’. “Akshay’s commercial viability as well as Ajay’s box office position has remained rock steady. With the success of films like ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Kick’, the competition to emulate them is getting bigger. Aggressive promotion is now the name of the game and it’s very important that A-list actors meet the mark,” a trade analyst said.
