Pluses: honest attempt by director, decent background score, interesting climax, well shot Minuses:
amateur performances, slow pace, bad dialogues, shabby editing
Critic Rating: 2.5/5
Business Rating: 0.5/5
Verdict:
Watch it for honest independent cinema
Detailed Analysis:
In today's time when corporate houses have taken over, independent cinema needs its space despite not so great marketing and media space. 'NH 8 Road To Nidhivan' is one such film.
Performance wise Auroshikha Dey is only decent one rest of the cast is immature and lacks finesse. Raveneet Kaur, Swaroopa Ghosh and Arjun Fauzdar are strictly average. Film has interesting premise but screenplay lacks pace and events. Film has poor dialogues. Film has interesting background score. Art department is authentic and editing is poor.
Director Munindra Gupta succeeds in bringing out some kind of tension, horror and thrill but he writes real poor screenplay. Though twist in the end is not bad but lack of events make it a tiring watch for masses. Film released today and should release across 200 screens. Film had no chances at box office as its a film with very niche appeal. Film will depend on exceptional word of mouth to survive as it has no great buzz or marketing awareness.
Go for this if psychological thriller is your cup of tea!
