Friday, 22nd May 2015, 3:31 PM IST Ranveer Singh had injured himself while shooting for ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The actor had to undergo a shoulder surgery because of it. After the surgery, the doctor had advised him rest for a few weeks, followed by physiotherapy. Ranveer, after two and a half months, recently started shooting for the film. However, he was anxious about returning to the sets of the film after a long gap. Ranveer said, "I was extremely nervous when I drove down to the shoot. I had not faced the camera in two-and-a-half months and I was having a near meltdown. As I always do in times like these, I called up my father." Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, Ranveer’s father, is like a friend and confidante of his son. He gave Ranveer a long pep talk. "My father was very reassuring and told me that it was just like swimming," the actor added. Jagjit Singh Bhavnani drew a parallel between acting and swimming. He pointed out to the actor that a child is nervous till he hits the water. "He assured me I'd be just fine. I heard him out, reached the set, put on my costume and I immediately felt like the great Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao. After that I went out there and nailed it," the actor said.
