Friday, 20th June 2014, 03:50 PM IST India will soon sign a co-production contract with China that will encourage business and commerce between the two countries. And as part of the initiative, Light House Productions Pvt. Ltd will be flagging off the first Indo-Chinese production, titled ‘Gold Struck’.
Amitabh Bachchan and Abhay Deol will be starring in the film that will be shot extensively in the US, China and India. It is an action comedy that will feature a mixture of Chinese martial arts and Bollywood style songs. It will be directed by Hollywood biggies Corey Yeun and Tony Cheung.
The makers are in talks with Big B while Abhay has already given his nod to the project. Producer Gayathiri Batra said, “Yes, ‘Gold Struck’ is the first Indo-China co-production venture but it's too early to reveal any details.” There's been a lot of speculation about the star cast since a show reel was screened at Berlinale and Cannes this year. Names of Sonam Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor were also thrown in along with Mr. Bachchan and Abhay’s. |
