Monday, 23rd June 2014, 06:50 PM IST R Balki’s Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Shamitabh’ is set to be shot in Helsinki. This will be the first time a Bollywood film will be shot in the Helsinki, which is the capital of North European country Finland. Two of Balki’s earlier films were also shot in European countries. While ‘Cheeni Kum’ was shot in London, ‘Paa’ was shot in Oxford. "Balki Sir chose Helsinski after considerable thought.A portion of the plot unfolds in a European country. We needed a quaint quiet scenic European spot which hasn't been over-exposed in cinema," says a source. Amitabh played a big role in choosing Helsinki as the location for the shoot and is said to be a big helping hand in the behind-the-scenes activities for the film. "Ours would be the first Indian film to be shot in Helsinski. We are going to shoot in a place called Lapland close to Helsinski," Balki confirmed.
