Saturday, 03rd May 2014, 02:30 PM IST Standup comedian-turned-actor Vir Das is presently working on Nikhil Advani's next film as a writer, actor and co-producer. And he is leaving no stone unturned to prepare for his film.
Being a coming-of-age film, Das wanted to get into the right space to write and so he decided to go back to school. “I have 10 days on hand before I start shooting for '1984', the film on the Sikh riots, to finish the draft for Nikhil's film. It’s set in a strict academic environment and is about old-world values and tradition,” he says. He took special permission to sit on the last bench and attend lectures at The Lawrence School in Sanawar.“That’ll give me plenty of food for thought,” Vir explains, adding “I’ll have plenty of reading material when I’m in school next week.” |
